LinkedIn's algorithms are crazy. I got restricted multiple times - they claim I've been using third-party tools although I never install extensions in my browser. The support teams behind these social media companies are nuts - I just can't believe they got your account back, Glad they did 🙏🏻

Yeah, this is what I thought it was initially... but same, I don't use any 3rd party extensions. Such a mess.

Hey Blake, I’m sure you’ve heard of it but if you haven’t you should check out “Buy Then Build” by Walker Deibel. Great book on acquisition entrepreneurship

What a story! It’s amazing how someone wields the power to shut down an account which can seriously disrupt a business with just the click of a button. And what kind of large company doesn’t have a customer care team that can answer simple questions?

That’s really frustrating but I’m glad you got it figured out in the end!

I KNOW!!! This is what I kept imagining myself, someone on the other side here is clicking a button that kinda deleted my career and then sent me an automated message. Made me realize that I don't even own anything I have on LinkedIn.

That’s scary. But I bet in a few months you’ll be glad that it fired up your diversification strategy. I had a similar thing with Facebook ads once, a long time ago. What is an SMB acquisition by the way?

Very true, I hope this is the case. SMB acquisition - I'm chasing down and trying to buy a small business. Doesn't matter what it is but hoping to find something with revenues between $1M - $3M a year. Looking at anything from window washing to HVAC to trucking.

One of the most brilliant things about Substack is emails. No platform is yours. You are renting space and can (obviously) be evicted and lose “everything.” Have your main #1 focus now be on capturing contacts via a very impactful free offer. Sounds like you could create something very valuable and generate a solid email list very quickly. Any social platform should be used to build something that is yours. Glad it worked out (this time)!

LOVE that you’re using Kajabi! I’m a HUGE fan and have been on the platform for years. I love referring people to it as well and can offer a 30-day free trial plus 1:1 setup support to anyone interested! 🤗

Hey Blake! Bit of a late message to this post, but I would recommend starting with just 1-2 more channels.

It’s easy to over-diversify and not get great at any of them, and you will get never get traction until you become good at how to message each one. Just a tip 😉

Do however diversify, it’s a dangerous game to only be on one platform, as you’ve just experienced.

That's wild. These platforms have so much power and are SO unpredictable.

You need to keep investing in building on twitter. SOOO many early stage founders there.
